  Ventnor Brewery now has a portfolio of seven ales some are only available seasonally.

The current range produced at the brewery are prepared and brewed using the finest malts, choicest hops, our own yeast strain and the unique St Boniface spring water to provide you with the finest quality traditional ales.

The Cask ales produced at Ventnor Brewery are: -


Golden Bitter Golden Bitter 4.0% abv
Golden Camra Award winner Best Beer 2002, 2003 and 2004

A smooth honey tasting beer slips down very easily, our main "session beer" It is a single hop beer using English Goldings.
It is only available on draught.
   

Scarecrow Best 4.2% abv

Brewed using Best Pale Ale and Crystal Malt to give a deep amber coloured Beer.

Hopped with English Bramling Hops for both bittering and aromas. A traditional full bodied beer that’s Outstanding in its Field !

 

   
Sunfire Sunfire Bitter 4.3% abv
A very hoppy and bitter beer for the mature beer drinking palate and will satisfy the experienced beer connoisseur.
   
Hippy High Hippy High Ale 4.4% abv
Hippy High Ale was brewed especially for the Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank's Bestival on the Isle of Wight. It is a light hoppy beer to keep everybody hopping to the music. A real up tempo beer
   
Pistol Night Pistol Night 4.4% abv
A light coloured bitter, brewed using the traditional English Bramling Cross Hops, Marris Otter Pale Ale, Wheat Malt our own Yeast and of course natural spring water. This light, refreshing ale has subtle citrussy bitterness and good fruity aromas.
   
Oyster Stout Oyster Stout 4.5% abv
We believe the only beer brewed in the UK with real oysters! A very smooth dark beer, nicknamed "Black Viagra" by the locals ! It's much loved by the ladies. This is a smooth drink very good with meat dishes.
   
Hygeia Hygeia Organic Ale 4.6% abv
Our new organic beer made with organic ingredients. This has just been launched and is going very well with all who have tasted it.
A refreshing coloured ale, brewed using organically grown English malted Maris Otter Barley and Wheat to give a well-balanced malty taste with a little fruity bite from the First Gold hops.
Hoppy aromas burst from the glass once poured.
   
Old Ruby Old Ruby Ale 4.7% abv
A rich ruby coloured strong bitter combining the sweetness of Crystal malt with the mellow flavours of Golding and Fuggle hops.
   
Wight Spirit Wight Spirit 5.0% abv
Brewed to celebrate the ever-watchful presence of the resident ghost in the brewery. This light but surprisingly strong ale combines the finest aromatic hops and malts to create a fresh quaffable bitter with a grapefruit aftertaste. Beware this one may creep up on you when you least expect. This has been a good starter beer for lager drinkers who are 'growing up' and looking for some excitement in real ales!
   
Anti Freeze Anti Freeze 5.2% abv
Anti Freeze Winter Warmer available each winter, a festive dark red coloured ale, smooth yet full of winter warming flavours. Bramling Cross and Goldings hops are used to give a mellow bitter bite and help the spicy aromas. Have you topped up with Anti Freeze !

sand Rock Sandrock Ale 5.6% abv
Created to commemorate the famous Sandrock Inn, in Niton on the Isle of Wight, tragically destroyed by fire in 1985. It is brewed using peated malt and a combination of the finest hops. Served at the Beer Writers Guild annual dinner at the Iron Mongers Hall in the City of London with the cheese course. A Port amongst beers!
